Amy Krebs, Dean of Students

Dear Mary Woodward Families,

Please join me in welcoming Amy Krebs as our new Dean of Students at Mary Woodward Elementary!

Amy started her career teaching in Philadelphia and has taught at Mary Woodward since 1998. She is an instructional leader on our staff. Amy spearheaded the move at Mary Woodward Elementary to begin looking at trauma informed strategies as we work with students in need of intensive behavioral supports. She implemented collaborative problem solving in her classroom and helped our staff to become informed about trauma sensitive strategies such as mindfulness, developing deeper relationships with students, and collaborating with individual students to develop lagging social skills.

Amy developed and performed numerous professional development presentations over the years including trainings on trauma informed practices, technology, reporting standards, science standards, Courageous Conversations and SAT teams.

A Note from Mrs. Darr

Dear Mary Woodward Community,

Since I came to work at Mary Woodward in 2005, I have written the school newsletter. This edition of "From the Eagles Nest" is my last weekly newsletter. After 22 years working for TTSD, I will be retiring later this month.

I'd like to take this opportunity to say that it has been the highlight of my career to work at Mary Woodward. For the past 16 years, It has truly been a pleasure working with your students and your families. It has been an honor and a privilege for me to be a part of this amazing school community. I'd like to extend my very best wishes to you and your children in the coming years.

Walmart Donation to Mary Woodward

I would like to thank David Mack, Store Manager at Walmart on Murray Blvd, (and proud Mary Woodward grandparent) for an amazing donation of disinfectant wipes and hand soap. These supplies will come in handy for next school year as we prepare for having all students back in the building! Thank you David!
