BlUE & GOLD NIGHT

Wednesday, March 27th, 6:30-8:30pm

400 East Holland Road

Holland, PA

COST: $2.00/student


Here is what you can expect:


  • It is a night to go all out- get dressed in your grade colors (7th grade = GOLD; 8th grade = BLUE
  • students earn bonus points for your grade by showing color support for your grade's color
  • activities will start with a game of WESTCHESTER VOLLEYBALL
  • the night will end a special activity know as SUMO SUITS
  • it is a friendly 7th grade vs. 8th grade competition


Here is how to get involved:


  • come and buy your admission tickets a the school store
  • sign up for 3 activities - you are guaranteed one
  • or just come to cheer your grade


*** Student's will not be allowed to dress up for the activities at school. They need to come to school showing off their colors!!!!!!

Staff Profile


Name: Laura Lutton


Mrs. Lutton has been teaching for 19 years. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Kutztown University, her Master’s Degree in Education from Lehigh University, and is working towards her Doctorate at Lehigh University. Mrs. Lutton is certified to teach Secondary Astronomy, Secondary Geology, Elementary Education, Special Education and Middle School Earth and Space Science. Mrs. Lutton is an avid runner and cyclist. In fact, in 2017 she qualified and ran in the Boston Marathon! She also enjoys gardening and visiting National Parks. When asked about her favorite teaching moment she replied, “Every moment!”

Name: Mel Benson IV


Mr. Benson has been teaching for 20 years. Prior to joining our Holland Middle School Staff he taught at Council Rock North High School and Newtown Middle School. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from West Chester University, earned a Master’s of Science in Christian Counseling from Cairn University, and earned a Master’s Degree in Education from Gratz College. Mr. Benson is certified to teach Secondary Social Studies. Currently, Mr. Benson is a proud member of our Army National Guard and holds the rank of Major. For our military he is an instructor and involved in electronic warfare. During his free time he enjoys “chilling in the backyard,” reading, and visiting State Parks and Disney World. When asked about his favorite teaching moment he replied, “when a student offers original conclusions or connections or even just a great question based on the topic of discussion in class.”
