Bringing Holiday Cheer
The DW Show Choir took to the road this week to perform in front of enthusiastic audiences in the local retirement communities. Please visit the school's Facebook page or the Google Doc folder for pictures of the performances and interactions with residents. Watch a brief video of their performance.
In other acts of kindness, the DW Wright Way Club sorted and boxed 88 new toys for needy children. Toys for Tots is a program organized by the United States Marine Corps Reserve, which distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas.
Teachers also created a fun learning environment with one activity in particular known as the Winterfest STEAM competition in which students create a catapult out of rubber bands, spoons, and other material in an attempt to launch a Marshmallow through the mouth of a snowman statute. Pictures of the activity can be found on the school's Facebook page or the Google Doc folder.

Requesting Vaccine Cards
If you have had your child fully vaccinated for COVID, please send us a copy of your child's vaccination card so it can be added to your D103 students' health records. At this time, fully vaccinated students are not required to quarantine if they are identified as a close contact as long as they remain asymptomatic. Students are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after the second dose was received. Students who show COVID 19 symptoms will still need a negative test prior to entering school regardless of vaccination status. You can track the percent of students vaccinated on our D103 COVID Dashboard.
Please use one of the following methods to provide us your child's vaccine card along with the student's first name, last name, and grade level: fax, email, mail, or physically dropping off a copy to the school.
