RMS Weekly Event Calendar
August 20 - August 24
What's going on at RMS?
Wow! It seems like we have had a 0 - 60 start to school! It was boom....and we are going full steam ahead. I want to thank all of you for your help in making the beginning of school a success with such a smooth transition from summer to full blown school!
I have been very excited to see all the great things going on in classrooms and seeing the students so excited about being back in school. As we begin a new school year, I hope you will demonstrate the characteristics in the video above. I hope you will remember you purpose and passion and why we do what we do each day. I encourage you to be that teacher who will...
- Help
- Motivate
- Explain
- Model
- Coach
- Encourage
- Communicate
- Develop
- Guide
- Stimulate
- Share
- Inspire
A teacher who is:
- Adventurous
- Humorous
- Creative
- Different
- Courageous
- Enthusiastic
- Dynamic
- Proud
- Empathetic
- A leader
Imagine what a classroom would look like if the teacher demonstrated these characteristics. Better yet, imagine what a school would look like if EVERY teacher demonstrated these! Our students deserve teachers who bring these best they have each day and strive to be the best teacher possible!
As I said at the beginning of the school year, BE THAT TEACHER!
Problem Solving!!
What better way for students to get to know each other than engaging in a problem solving activity. Mrs. Glover's and Mrs. Harris' students had a great time learning through Escape Room challenges. These students engaged in problem solving, collaboration, and team building while getting to know each other and having fun at the same time!
