Volunteer with Lacrosse the Nations
Help introduce the sport of lacrosse to Costa Rica!
Who we are:
What we do:
Lacrosse practices are held three times per week as an after-school activity open to all age groups. A local coach as well as LtN volunteers help teach how to play lacrosse while at the same time using fun games and activities to introduce various life skills, such as teamwork, respect and self-worth.
Why we're here:
Why we need your help:
Volunteers are 100% responsible for the success of our program! Everything from equipment donations to fun ideas for games and drills comes from people who want to make a positive impact on our community. LtN volunteers have the unique opportunity to not only teach, but also to be a friend and a mentor to children who have grown up in harsh social and economic environments. Do not underestimate your ability to make a positive change in the lives of many!
Opportunities for volunteers:
*Volunteers who contribute 10 or more hours of service to LtN will receive a certificate of service!
Schedule:
On Saturday afternoons we organize a coed volunteer scrimmage; all ages welcome, players are typically at the high school/college level. No pads, lacrosse equipment provided, cleats and mouthguard are encouraged.
Come out and play today!
