CHS Weekly Update
Week 26: 3-8-2020
Spring in the Air?
Hopefully this newsletter finds you relaxing after enjoying the beautiful weather today! You can feel spring and it just feels awesome. Of course, if you look at the picture above, you'll see that we may be dealing with all of the interesting things on our (very clean) hands this week. Just remember that daylights savings time is hard on everyone without the full moon in the mix. :)
Other Things on My Mind...
- Thank you so much to all of our staff who helped with our junior class SAT conversations. Many commented how much more prepared our students are and just how well-versed they are in methodology and what they need to do. I'm really proud of how much we have come together as a staff to rise to the challenge. Keep going, you have 20 more days left. I will be giving back the summary of the conversations and strategies early this week. Please pass back to students.
- If you are a teacher of seniors, please keep reminding them they will be participating in a mock interview on the day of SAT. This will serve as their required work and will result in a school-related absences.
- Keep communicating about the importance of showing up 3/10. We don't want another day to not count for us.
- Don't forget to sign up for those observation times with your evaluator! I would like all evaluations completed by the end of March.
- Thanks again to all of our presenters for our Tech/Pedagogy fest on Friday. I noticed a ton of great ideas being shared around. When we are able to collaborate and learn from each other, it is a great reminder of how much better we are working and learning together.
- We have a staff meeting this Thursday beginning at 2:45. We will be primarily working on developing our 4th quarter for advisory, but will also be taking a look at our most recent assessments. Please bring the most recent assessment you gave or one you are giving within the next week.
- Have a fantastic, relaxing, and successful week! :)
