Bulldog Blast, 9/19/21
Clarification on Brennan's start times.
7:50 (homeroom starts and attendance taken)
7:55 (first period starts)
Thus, students need to be in their seats at 7:50am to be marked on time.
From Transportation: Gatra is holding public meetings to discuss upcoming changes to bus routes. If you rely on Gatra for transportation, you should look into this.
In addition, next week, we will pilot our routine COVID testing right here at Brennan ONLY. We have identified our grade 7 to do this pilot run through. Again, we are only testing students that we have active consents on file.
Routine COVID testing will begin the week of September 27. If you have not yet provided consent for your child, please consider doing it again. Participation in testing helps to prevent community spread by identifying asymptomatic cases and ensures students are learning in the safest possible environment. Most significantly, students in the program will be able to avoid quarantining and remain in school in most circumstances if identified as a close contact through “Test and Stay.” As a result of our involvement in DESE’s incentive program this summer, we are able to extend the opportunity to the start of the school year. All families who provide consent by September 24 will be entered into a drawing for a $25 Visa Gift Card.
Finally...Back to School Night! LIVE and IN-PERSON!
- Parents and guardians whose child's last name begins with A-K: 6:00 - 6:50 p.m.
- Parents and guardians whose child's last name begins with L-Z: 7:00 - 7:50 p.m.
We will have signage that directs parents to the appropriate cluster areas.
We hope you will enjoy this opportunity to meet and greet your child's teachers and to learn about their classroom experience for this school year. We look forward to seeing you soon!
Please complete this form if you do not wish for your child's photograph to be released for publication without consent during the 2021-2022 school year.
