k4 and k5

We have been practicing how to summarize a book, We summarized by telling the beginning, middle, and end. We are also learning about parts of a book. We will be playing a fun game of Simon Says at the end of each class. We have read: Wiener Wolf – Jeff Crosby, RRRalph – Lois Ehlert, and Little Dog Lost: True Story of a Brave Dog Named Baltic – Monica Carnesi    

1st and 2nd

We are still working on our fact finding skills. Students are finishing up their spooky research. This has been an exciting challenge!

3rd- 5th

We are learning to effectively search the internet. Some of the lessons we will be working on are keyword searches, evaluating sites, narrowing our results, and much more.

Don't Forget Family Literacy Nights!

Families can use the media center for homework help, AR reading and quizzing, using Rosetta Stone to learn English, use the computers to work on GED, and much more. We will also hold events periodically such as puppet shows, grade level information nights, and book making. Feel free to come by and check us out! Tuesdays and Thursdays3:00-4:00 P.M.
