Week at a Glance
Marian Central Catholic High School Faculty Newsletter
May 25, 2019
Can you believe it? We made it through the disjointed "senior exams only" schedule! We couldn't have done it without all of the team players... those faculty members that took on additional students in their study halls, faculty who took their free time to proctor senior exams while other teachers tended to their underclassmen, the office staff who fielded students coming in at all hours of the day, and Mrs. Houk & Mrs. Varga as they checked in the senior devices... just to name a few! It's going to seem all downhill from here!
We also sent three boys tennis members and three boys track members to state this week! It has been an exciting week for our student athletes!
Speaking of athletics... Girls Softball is going to sectionals! Thursday evening was special enough, as the graduating class of 2019 was celebrating at the Baccalaureate Mass with their families, but when the girls softball team returned from the regional game it became electric! We are very excited for these ladies as they go to sectionals in Wauconda this Wednesday... come and see them rock the field!
Friday evening's graduation was everything it was meant to be. This is why we do what we do each and every day. It is the culmination of all of the lesson planning, grading, guidance, and relationship building. Thank you all for being such an important part of these, and all of our students' lives.
Looking ahead...
Well... this is it! It's the last week of the school year (ok, one week later than planned, thanks to ole' man winter!). I am sure it will go quicklly! One regular day, and then three days of exams will make this coming week go by very quickly!
Please make sure that you review the exam tips below and are ready to complete your grade meeting and end of year check out with ease! We will work as hard as we can to get you off on your summer break as quickly as possible!
Although the collection of the senior devices went off without too much trouble, the collection of the underclassmen devices is going to be a lot more hectic. If you find time in your schedule and can help with the collection, please notify Mrs. Houk or Ms. Novy. We could really use your help! The device collection schedule is as follows...
May 28 - May 31 from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm
Have a wonderful Memorial Weekend with your family and friends!
