WMS Weekly Bulletin
February 18-23, 2019
Sometimes being scratchy is difficult. Sometimes it makes my brain sparkle. But, I can, without a shadow of a doubt, say I am so happy that we have each other to get through the scratchy times together!
The boys and I hope you were able to learn something new today. Whether it was to reconnect with your Emergenetics preferences, pick up a few instructional strategies, have a little fun playing tic-tac-toe, or just the colleagual dialogue around your table, today was meant to reassure us that we all have moments that are scratchy and remind us that we have each other with whom to work through those moments!
As we navigate through new routines on Thursday, think about the structures you can manipulate to get the outcomes you want with our scholars. The most successful educators are able to think two steps ahead to know what boundaries to set for scholars to meet the expectations.
For Thursday, I will create a folder on our Staffulty Go Page as well with all the rosters and digital instructions (HUGE shout-out to Melissa Jones for the AMAZING lesson plans for the Digital Citizenship Nearpod activity this week) to have at your fingertips.
Go Warhawks! And, remember, you belong here.

Content Mastery
Please continue to add test dates to the Google CM testing calendar. Scholars are now using Schoology to access their tests and quizzes for oral test administration. Follow the steps below to submit an electronic copy of your test in Schoology.
Rename file with the test date, your last name and subject followed by the test name.
(Example: 2.11 Vitek Math 7 Unit 6 Test.docx)
1. Click Resources on the black bar
2. Click Tests for Content Mastery found under My Resources
3. Click Add Resources
4. Click Add file and attach the test
(For test security, submit as a Word file. Google Docs upload to scholar drives when opened.)
The green Content Mastery pass can now be used multiple times and includes data regarding accommodation usage, see the back of the new pass. The pass will be returned with the test. Passes can be found at the end of the teacher mailboxes above the laminating requests.

Hall Pass Reminders
- EVERY scholar walking in the hallway during class time should have a pass.
- All passes should include the scholar's name, the date, time, your name, and their destination. Once the scholar leaves their destination, that teacher should add the new departure time and his/her signature for the scholar to return to their home location.
- Please do NOT give an anytime pass to a scholar (only Mr. Miles or the Administrators can give these out for extreme scholar circumstances). Anytime passes or passes without dates make it difficult to track scholar movement.
- If asking for a scholar during Advocate, please give each scholar a pass ahead of time that includes their name, the date, and time that you would like them to come to you.
- Please only ask for scholars during Advocate if there is a dire need.
- Remember, we have a tutorial bus that runs everyday but Friday. The bus picks up in front of the school at approximately 4:30 PM.
