WE'RE ALL LEARNING
STUDENTS: It has been a happy week springing into Spring Break - crazy hair, hats, socks, sunshine and an assembly with a limbo contest have all been great ways to celebrate caring, respectful, responsible and ready behaviors.
TEACHERS: This week, during Professional Development on Thursday afternoon, we focused on how to mitigate implicit bias and stereotyped threats by giving effective feedback.
Consider becoming a substitute teacher
The Iowa City School District will be offering a sub authorization class at the ESC on March 23, 24, and 25.
Anyone interested can register on the Grant Wood AEA website under Professional Development. The class will run from 5-9:00 on Friday, and 8:30 - 4:00 on Saturday and Sunday.
From Nick Bergus, City of North Liberty
I wanted to give you a heads up that Front Street, between Cherry Street and Zeller Street, is expected to close on Wednesday, March 21, so crews can rebuild the roadway, sidewalks and utilities, which may impact some of your students and teachers. The closure is expected to last through construction season, so into the fall.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
