Drug Experimentation In Younger Years Points To Addiction In Adulthood
For some parents, the popularity of youngster alcohol use (and several drug use) is seen as typical “youth experimentation.” Some parents have even viewed such activities as normal and “okay providing it doesn’t go too far.” Some consider youth experimentation with alcohol and drugs part of becoming an adult. They see these as activities that are just a section of the risk-taking behaviors that manifest in teens and the younger generation.
However, it’s dangerous to normalize teen experimentation with alcohol. Just one single knowledge about such substances can set activity is for repeat use and addiction. Further, there exists data to point out a link between experimentation with alcohol and drugs in one’s youth and addiction to such substances down the road. If parents desire to ensure their kids grow up to be sober, clear-minded, and healthy, they need to ensure their little kids refrain from using alcohol and drugs.

Drug Experimentation Can result in Addiction
Teenager experiencing abusing drugs
Previous studies suggested that many teens reduce or cease drug use if they enter adulthood. However, a new study funded from the National Institutes of Health insurance published in JAMA Network Open discovered that today’s teens typically don't transition out of using drugs and alcohol once they reach adulthood, especially if these were already exhibiting addictive behaviors during adolescence.
In accordance with the findings of surveyed adults that had used drugs repeatedly inside their youth, 60% reported continuing to try out drugs in adulthood. Conversely, adults who only occasionally experimented with substances inside their youth or who didn’t test out substances whatsoever had dramatically reduced rates of drug use
