PTA Chicago Steel Night-1/19/19
On Monday, December 10th Nancy Young had an assembly with the Chicago Steel hockey team. Chicago Steel is a local USHL hockey team that has had several players drafted to NHL this past summer. The Steel were recently featured on the news as being one of the first hockey teams to design their own helmets for a recent game in helping raise money for a local charity.
This past Monday several players, a coach, and the mascot came to school to talk about being a part of a community and what it means to be strong as steel.
On Saturday, January 19th Nancy Young will be doing a fundraiser event with the Chicago Steel at the Fox Valley Ice Rink. This week forms came home to purchase tickets for the 7:00 pm game.
If Nancy Young can purchase 50 tickets one of our staff members will be able to drop the puck at the game that evening.
Also that evening the Steel will be doing a teddy bear drop. Bring a new unused teddy bear and when the Steel score a goal you can throw the bear on the ice in which then the bears will be donated to a charity.
The Nancy Young PTA is looking forward to seeing you all at the rink!
