Regina Jr Sr High Newsletter
December 2023
From the Principal
Happy New Year! I hope all of our families were able to enjoy their Christmas break.
The schedule for semester assessments is given below. All students in grades 7-12 will have semester assessments. We ask that you make plans for students to leave school after the assessment period. We understand that it may not be possible for those who bus or have practice or make-ups. Students who must stay at school should go to the Library after lunch. Lunch will be served after the final assessment period each day for those staying at school.
Remember that Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Monday, January 15) is a no school day. Teachers and staff have professional development that day.
Catholic School Week is January 28 - February 3. We will communicate more information about the week soon.
January 4th is the memorial of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton. After the death of her husband, Elizabeth converted to Catholicism. She helped create the first Catholic school and first religious community for women in the United States. Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton was the first native-born citizen of the United States to be canonized as a saint. The following prayer is the first of 3 prayers that are part of a Novena suggested by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.
Saint Elizabeth Seton,
you knew the beauty of all human life
when you carried a child in your womb
and when, as a young widow,
a teacher, and founder of the Sisters of Charity,
you sought to live the Gospel of Life.
Inspire us, intercede for us, and be with us.
We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
You know the sacrament of Holy Matrimony;
Teach us to support all families with faith and truth.
You know the love of a good spouse;
Intercede for all newly married couples.
You know the stirring of the child in your womb;
Intercede for every unborn child.
You know the miracle of giving birth;
Pray for mothers tempted by abortion.
Our Father …
Hail Mary …
Glory to the Father …
Peace to All,
Glenn Plummer

Regina Jr/Sr High Yearbook Sponsors Needed!
The Regina Jr/Sr High yearbook is looking for support! The '23-'24 yearbook is increasing from 72 pages to 118 pages. This will make the yearbook bigger and better, however, it also increases the costs to create it.
Sponsorships from people and businesses like yours are needed to make sure our school memories are affordable for students and the content reflects their experiences and accomplishments!
Please consider purchasing a sponsorship or donating at one of the levels shown in the graphic. To purchase an ad or make a donation please click HERE.
