PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Dear Lincoln Parents and Guardians,
I want to acknowledge Lincoln parents and staff, and, of course, students, for working together to provide for a seamless transition into 4th quarter. Whether remote or in-person, families experienced change on April 12, and everyone's efforts allowed for this successful transition. We had a great week, and I encourage parents to contact their child's teachers with any concerns as we begin the final turn in the 2020/2021 school year.
I know families are anxious to know about how graduation events will be hosted this year. It is, as you are aware, difficult to make definite plans with the ever-changing CDC recommendations and IDPH guidelines, space issues, and more. Please rest assured that as soon as we are able to determine definite plans I will share the information with parents. It is our desire to provide a memorable and meaningful event, but at the same to follow the health and safety guidelines and restrictions set by the CDC and IDPH. I appreciate your patience as we also feel the frustration of trying to plan ahead during these challenging times.
Map testing begins next week. Please refer to the schedule posted below. IAR/ISA testing begins the first week of May, and that schedule will be posted next week.
Have a great weekend,
Paul Suminski

HEALTH OFFICE NOTICE FOR PARENTS OF HYBRID STUDENTS
If you notify the school that your student is experiencing any of the symptoms that are shared with covid-19 (fever, headache, shortness of breath, cough, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, new loss of sense of taste or smell, fatigue, muscle or body aches), your student cannot attend school until at least 10 days have passed since symptom onset and 24 hours fever free without fever reducing medication and improvement of symptoms. Your student can return earlier if they are evaluated by a medical doctor and undergo Covid testing as directed by MD. In order to return to school prior to the end of 10 days, you will need a note from your MD stating Covid status, diagnosis and return to school date. Your student must also be fever free without fever reducing medications, vomit and diarrhea free for 24 hours.
