The Wolf Howl
Week of 5/6/16
End of Year Procedures
For the first time, we are going to have an 8th grade CLAP OUT on Tuesday, May 31, during Wolf Time. We are going to line the halls and have the 8th graders and their 8th grade teachers make one final lap through the building as we all clap and wish them best of luck in high school. More details will come later, but put this on your calendars!
We are going to give awards and say good-byes on Tuesday, May 31 after school at a final staff meeting. We normally do these at the pot luck on Wednesday, but I am going to be in Michigan with the FPS on Wednesday. Pot luck is still on for Wednesday - Stephanie will send out a sign up genius for this fun event.
High School Musical this week!
Information About Final Grades
- Prior to the Memorial Day, please call the parents of students who are in danger of failing and turn in (or Google share) your telephone log of these calls to me. We need to have this information when we call students who need to go to summer school or who will be retained.
- Plan on having your grades done on Thursday afternoon before you leave for the day. Summer school starts Monday, so we need to call parents on Friday.
Voting is Saturday
Have you voted? It's not too late - election day is Saturday! Exercise your right to vote and get to the polls before they close at 7:00 p.m.!
The right to vote is one that is a privilege that too many people tend to ignore on a local, state and national level. Please make your voice heard by voting in the 2016 GCISD Bond Election. If you have any questions about the proposal, or for more information, please visit www.gcisdbond2016.com.
