Report Cards
ATTENDANCE
It is important that all student absences be reported to the school in a timely manner. Please use ONE of the following methods to report the absence.
- Call the attendance line at 281-641-5019 or
- Email the attendance specialist at deirdre.hemsing@humbleisd.net or
- Complete the online absence form that can be found here.
If your student has visited a doctor while they were absent then please make sure to send in a signed/stamped doctors note within 48 hours of their return to school.

September Student of the Week
Kaylee Soliz has been selected as our September PE student of the month!!! Kaylee is a 4th grade student in Ms. Laygan's class. She is an excellent athlete who works very hard and displays great sportsmanship. Kaylee has a wonderful attitude and sets an amazing example for other students to follow. She is an absolute pleasure to have in class. Way to go Kaylee!!!

Book Fair is Coming!
It will start October 17th to October 28th. Students will shop during their library specials time/day. Family night is October 17th from 4:30pm to 7:30pm. Remember, our Book Fair is CASHLESS. Only eWallet or credit cards are accepted. Please the GE Library webpage for all the information. Watch your child's folder after our break for more Book Fair details.

You may sit at the tables in the hallway on main street, high tables, or outside at the picnic tables by the garden.
Students may not invite friends to sit with them and adults may only eat with their own child at the designated guest tables.

Below please find information regarding the Fall 2022 Credit By Exam for Acceleration registration and testing dates/deadlines. Additional communication will be sent out in January for spring testing registration.
Registration:
Parents complete Credit By Examination Registration Form and give it to your student's Counselor before the desired testing window deadline.

We're teaming up with Stacey's Sweets for a Cookie Bomb Spirit Sale. Preorder at grovespto.com from 10/10 - 10/24 and we'll deliver to your student on 10/28. If you'd like to purchase cookies to treat some of the Groves staff and teachers, we'll deliver those too!

2022 Halloween Extravaganza
Save the date for our 1st Annual Halloween Extravaganza on Friday, October 21st from 6-9 pm. We will open up registration for trunk or treat time slots on Monday, October 10th at 7 pm. While time slots are required for trunk or treating, you're welcome to visit the food and dessert trucks and our spooky tunnel at any time! This is a free event for all Groves students and their siblings, but to help us out, we'll be collecting candy donations October 10th to the 21st during morning drop off from 7:30 to 8 am.

Theater Program Interest Form
We are thrilled to announce that Groves After School Theatre will be coming back!!!! This year Groves Theatre will be open to ALL grades and we count be more excited! If your student is interested in participating in the Groves After School Theatre program, please fill out this interest form. The purpose of this form is simply to get an approximate count of how many students are interested in participating in theatre. This information will help determine how many days a week to offer theatre and the best way to divide students into groups.
PLEASE NOTE: This is not a sign-up to participate. This is an interest form only. A sign-up form with more details, including the days and times we will meet, will be sent later.
