Please continue to help your child with homework and book reading daily. As your child begins to learn more throughout our days at school, reinforcement through homework becomes very important to his/her academic success. Practice makes us BETTER!

Please send in the initialed, completed Homework Calendars at the end of the month.

If your child needs to go home a different way, we must have it in writing. Thanks for helping us keep your child safe.

Garden Goodies

We had such a great time using our 5 Senses in the garden last week. We saw lots of beautiful colors, listened to buzzing bees, smelled and tasted herbs, and felt the textures of many plants. We learned lots of wonderful things about the Ebinport Garden and how it grows, thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Sebastian. Check out our pictures below.

A Peek at the Week

Math- We will learn to describe the difference between 2D and 3D shapes.
Writing Workshop- We will learn about the beginning sounds in words and how to "stretch out" the other sounds we hear to help write the word. ( Please remember not to spell words for your young writer.) Instead ask, "What sound do you hear?" Help by saying, "I think that word begins like CAT." Refer him/ her to the ABC chart with letters and pictures located in the binder that goes home daily.
Reading Workshop- We will talk more about characters and the settings of stories
Science- Five Senses continued---Focus on the sense of Sight

Name Writing- Please help your child practice writing his/her first name using the proper letter formation and only capitalize the first letter. See examples of letter formations in your child's binder if you need assistance.
