LiveSchool Update from your PBIS Chair, Mrs. Champlin
-Keep your kids engaged with LiveSchool by implementing daily or weekly rewards in the class! Prize boxes, special seating, laptop time, drawing time, lunch bunch (sitting at the empty cafeteria table with friends), etc. are all things that students can earn and teachers can do inexpensively.
-Monthly store shopping dates and "big ticket" reward dates to come via email this week! "Big ticket" items include nail salon with Jackson, board games with friends, movie time and more!
-Please note the "Procedure" category when giving points. The cafeteria, hallway, and specials buttons here are worth 5 for a couple reasons. In specials, we generally have behavior issues with kids. If a class is mostly great (teacher's descretion), then the specials teacher should highlight all names except the few unearning children and give them the specials points. The hallway button in this section is worth more because it should be used when other teachers notice how great your class is in the hallway. Cafeteria should be given only to students who follow all procedures while in the cafeteria.
-To see top scoring teachers and students click on the "Insights" tab in the app and then school.

Walkthrough Focus
Team Penn, research shows that school routines and procedures should be tightened and tweaked within the first 40 days of school. Mrs. Benson & will be providing feedback on procedures and routines this week.
Each teacher was also to have introduced the refocus area last week to their class. We will be using the "Refocus" walkthrough tool to provide feedback for you.
