President's Welcome - Mr. Wallack welcomed everyone to the meeting.
Student Representative Report - Mr. Ben Serafin, Student Representative, reported on various happenings at the high school. Click here to read Ben's full report. Mr. Serafin also introduced the newly appointed student representative to the Board for the 2023-2024 school year, Mr. Anthony Soriano.
Superintendent's Report - Dr. Steve Yanni provided his Superintendent's Report. Click here to read the full report. Additionally, Dr. Yanni recognized Ms. Greta Parker, Educational Assistant, for swift life-saving action on behalf of a student.
Public Participation - This opportunity for public participation is for action items and presentations included on this agenda only. Topics of the first opportunity for public participation included:

- Roof replacement at MGES (solar energy cost savings/grants/tax credits)
- Buses on the obsolete list

Minutes - The following minutes were included in the agenda:
- The Board approved the minutes from the February 21, 2023 legislative meeting.
Education Committee Recommendations - The Board approved the following:
- UDHS British Exchange Program for school year 2023-2024
- Professional development conferences
- Student activities
Finance Committee Recommendations - The Board approved the following:
- Routine matters - Treasurer's Report, the list of bill payments, a budgetary transfer, and disposal of excess, obsolete, and non-repairable equipment
- Change orders for SRMS project
- Bid award for MGES gymnasium roof replacement
- Contract for professional engineering services for UDHS natatorium dehumidification units replacement
- Chromebook purchase agreement
- Two donations - UDJAA donation relating to SRMS athletic fields and GIANT supermarkets to the UDSD Food Service Department through the Feeding School Kids initiative
- Settlement agreement with PA Leadership Charter School to resolve an ongoing tuition dispute for school year 2016-2017
- Five (5) settlement stipulations
Personnel Committee Recommendations - The Board approved the following:
- Personnel Report inclusive of appointments, retirements and resignations, leaves of absence, and curriculum leader appointments
Policy Committee Recommendations -
The Board approved the following second readings:
- Hazing (247)
- Homeless Children and Youths (251)
- Recruitment of Students by Military Recruiters, Post-Secondary Representatives, and Prospective Employers (254)
The Board affirmed the following first readings:
- Suicide and Self-Harming Behavior (252)
- Gender-Expansive and Transgender Students (253)
Other Recommendations - The Board approved a revision to the 2023-2024 school year calendar.
Solicitor's Report - Mr. Ed Diasio reported that the Board met in executive session on March 27, 2023 from 5:45 PM until 6:55 PM to discuss the personnel report included on the legislative agenda and UDEA negotiations.
