Viking Pride
Victory--We will be victorious. We will achieve victory over unkind words and actions, over challenges and obstacles in our path.
Initiative--We will "cultivate the ability to make decisions and think alone. Do not be afraid of failure, but learn from it." John Wooden
Kindness--We will be kind in all we do because it is the right thing to do.
Intentness--We will "set a realistic goal. Concentrate on its achievement by resisting all temptations and being determined and persistent." John Wooden
Nobility--We will achieve nobility because in America nobility is achieved through public education; it is our birthright. Our teachers and school staff are King and Queen makers. I will secure my crown by learning, hard work, and demonstrating a positive attitude and effort.
Generosity--We will demonstrate generosity to our classmates, school staff, and school community.
Self-Control--We will "practice self-discipline and keep emotions under control. Good judgment and common sense are essential." John Wooden
Morning Program Friday: families invited!
Students have opportunities to practice public speaking and hear (you'll see!) what it means to be part of the larger Viking school community.
The extended family is welcome, including younger siblings. Park in our new, expanded visitor parking lot and sign in at the front door.
Look for more Morning Progams on select Fridays throughout October and the rest of the school year, and Parent Breakfasts for specific grades held throughout the year. (First up: Students in 6th Grade and their parents on Oct. 23 at 7:50 am, in the 6th grade classroom.)
