Week at a Glance
Monday- Math MAP test in the AM, computer programming in the afternoon.
Tuesday- Miss Pratt & Mrs. Callahan were out for professional development
Wednesday- Worked on ALEKS in the morning and worked with 2nd graders in the afternoon. We did paired programming (coding), buddy reading, and made holiday cards for our families.

Friday- SLC Family breakfast in the AM, math day in the afternoon to finish up e4tech lessons!
Every year, this organization sponsors a "PiDay 5k," for which all proceeds go to amazing professional development programs for teachers prek-12. It would be so cool if The Think Tank participated in this 5k, as this organization has done so much for our classroom!! Mrs. Callahan and Miss Pratt will be there.
Please consider signing yourself and your child up for this awesome event! Click here to do so!: http://www.teachinglearningcollaborative.org/pi-day-5k.html
Also, Rachel Botkin has so graciously offered to organize a "Couch to 5K" program for anyone who wants to participate. This would be offered before school, after school, or on the weekend.
Please complete the following survey to indicate which day you would prefer: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/77KYMWN
Here is a link to the training program we would use: http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml Again, only ONE day per week would be a group training. The rest would be on your own. You do not have to participate in the Couch to 5k to participate in the run.

Sammy J. and Kennedy buddy read with a 2nd grader from Mrs. Wrights classroom!
Students create a snowman hat without looking at our winter party. We had some unique creations. ;)
Students create their own snowflakes with unique designs at our winter party! Kiera smiles as she shows hers.
Yum! Hot chocolate!
Students enjoyed some hot chocolate with marshmallows on a cold day. We even had hot tea for our students with milk allergies. :)
Photo Booth Fun!
Students (and teachers) took silly pictures in two different photo booths. We loved the props!
