Fall Fest/Trunk-or-Treat is Coming
Fall Fest / Trunk-or-Treat!
Friday October 25th 5:30-7:00PM
in the Fields behind RPE
Join us in decorating your vehicle's trunk or tailgate for the Trunk or Treat at this years RPE Fall Festival. We need approximately 30 volunteers to decorate their trunk and bring candy/toys to be handed out. We will have high school volunteers available to man the cars and hand out goodies so you can still participate in the festival with your family. Your trunk decoration can be as simple or creative as you would like. There are a TON of ideas on Pinterest. All themes/decorations should be age appropriate for all students, K-5.
We ask that you bring at least 100 treats to handout. These can be food or non-food items. Edible treats should be nut-free (think skittles, starbursts, mini pretzel or goldfish packs, smarties, lollipops, etc...) Oriental Trading has lots of novelty toys and other goodies at really good prices.

Important Report Card News
Can you believe the end of the 9 weeks is this Friday?! Your kiddos have come so far and grown so much already this year! This 9 weeks only, RPE will send home printed copies of your child's report cards. Leander ISD has transitioned to online report cards and progress reports, which can be accessed (viewed and printed) by students and parents through the Home Access Center tool.
If you have not yet logged into your Home Access Center account, please do so prior to the release of report cards to ensure the system has your student. You can access report cards in Home Access Center for elementary school students the week of Oct. 21. If you have any issues, please complete a customer service request. While LISD is working quickly to address customer service requests, please allow 3 business days for resolution of your issue.
Veterans Day Performance
A note from Mrs. Simpson, our Performing Arts teacher:
November 11th is Veterans Day. River Place Elementary has 2 events happening to honor all veterans! On November 11th the 2nd Grade would like to invite all parents, family, friends and veterans to a special performance in the MPR at 10:45am. If you are unable to attend the performance but would still like to have a way to participate, we will be featuring all veterans by posting pictures, names, dates of service and the branch they served in on the wall by the cafeteria.
Please drop off pictures at the front office or send them in your students back pack to their teacher and they will be given to me. I have many from last year so if you submitted to me via email last year, just email me and I can verify if I have them still! The pictures of friends and family members that have served in the United States Armed Forces is a powerful reminder to students and adults of the sacrifices our service men and women make for our country!
Please have pictures and information to the office no later than Wednesday, November 6th.
Join us, however you can, in honoring those that have served on November 11th. Thank you!
