MHS Counseling
June 2021
Counseling Department Changes - We are growing to a team of 5!
Goodbye from Ms. Guzmán
Welcome Tracy Morrison
Ms. Morrison will be joining the McDaniel counseling team next year. Here are a few things about her:
"I live in Portland with my partner & 2 kids. We spend summers exploring as much as possible. I love to read, watch my kids play and find new places to enjoy nature. I have lived all over the west coast and have found a home here in Portland. During this past year we spent a lot of time putting together puzzles and creating lego scenes.
My passion is to work in high schools supporting students while they find their super power and connect to what makes them excited about the future."
Welcome Neomi Navarro
Ms. Navarro is also joining the McDaniel counseling team next year. Here are a few things as we get to know her:
Neomi, is a Portland native, a mother of a teenager and a college graduate!
She is passionate about working with first generation and immigrant students. She attended Cleveland High School and loved Global Studies and was involved in the Latino Student Union.
She is an advocate for student’s educational rights. She is inspired by her children, students, advocacy, leadership, collaborative practices and social justice. She will be helping to build a new M.E.Ch.A. chapter at McDaniel.
