She will be setting up on the grass next to the K playground (just like last year). She will be on the grounds from 10:30-1:30. We have included Kindergarten this year. Below is the schedule.
10:30-11:30 AM Preschool
11:30-12:30 Kindergarten Classes
12:30-1:30 PM Preschool
- Parties/Events - Last call for all special event forms. If you are having a party, parents visiting, special presentations, anything out of the ordinary, you must fill out a special event form (https://drive.google.com/file/d/0By6Bz9JkOHl1Zi0wQlRPel9ZSlU/view). Even if you’re unsure if you need a form, fill it out anyway. If Jo does not have your form, your location for said event is not reserved, your trash can/table/chair needs are not known by our custodians, your visitors will be met with long lines because the office was unprepared, your event will not be publicized and generally does not exist! This time of year, space is in the building is hard to come by with the myriad of events going on. Turn in your form. Make your life, and everyone else’s life, easier.
- Room moves- if you are moving rooms (you will have been told), just pack your things and label; do not move boxes or items before summer.
- Please report to Lauren if you have students that you know are moving after this school year. That will give us time to check in with parents and send withdrawal forms to them for more accurate enrollment #s.
Article of the Week
Quote of the Week:
Note from the Principal:
Happy Friday!
True story... I was feeling a bit tired earlier this week. It's inevitable. We work hard and it happens.
But something amazing happened. I went to the concert Wednesday night. You'd think it would make me more tired, being an evening event, but it didn't. I actually came in Thursday more energized than I have felt in a while. The kids were incredible! I was so pumped and proud of them (not to mention of Britt and Bryanna). Then I went over to the watershed and saw the entire fifth grade working together and researching real dams across the world in preparation for a huge design project. It was awesome. I'm also really excited thinking about the Kindergarten show coming up.
These are all relatively big events, but the bottom line is this... We have sparks all around us to motivate us and give us energy in the last two weeks. It can be a big, formal, thing, an activity that you create to culminate the year in your class, or even the recognition of the growth of a challenging student.
It is critical that you keep it in the forefront of your mind in the final 11 days... Remember to find your spark to keep you energized and motivated. If you don't see one, think about what you can do to create one in your daily routine. You can even think about how you can help someone else find or create their own spark.
We will never get the next 11 days back. Don't just get through them; attack them, make them incredible and enjoy the fruits of the labor you have put in all year long. Our kids have come so far, and you've worked so hard. Be sure to notice the little things and go big for the last two weeks. Find your spark and enjoy every minute!
Have a great weekend.
Sincerely,
Chris
