Freshman Trip To Washington DC

Our 9th grade students, teachers and parents woke up extra early yesterday in order to enjoy a full day at Washington DC. Various Smithsonian Museums, the Holocaust Museum, and many of DC's monuments were the highlights of the trip, much of which have direct connection to 9th Grade US History class. We thank our teachers for arranging this incredible opportunity for our students to learn while enjoy being together. We thank all of the many parent volunteer chaperones. Most of all, we commend our 9th Graders who have demonstrated their RoAR all year, and especially while on their DC trip.

Holocaust Survivor Addresses Freshman Class

After a long day in DC on Thursday, the 9th grade had a very special assembly with Holocaust survivor, Mr. David Tuck. Mr. Tuck shared his 5-year experience as a Jewish prisoner of the Nazis at various concentration camps, including Auschwitz. He closed his remarkable story with what he learned from the experience and how he used those lessons to empower him throughout life.

Geometric Models

Mathematics teacher, Mrs. Amanda Higgin's and her students created geometric three-dimensional models out of Play Dough to help them study.
