ROCKLAND HIGH SCHOOL WEEKLY UPDATE
October 14, 2022
This week we had our annual spirit week leading up to Homecoming Football and the Homecoming Dance this weekend. We had fantastic energy from our students and staff who really found ways to get involved and show their bulldog pride. A special thank you to Shannon Gustin who took the lead, in planning the pep rally. So much work goes into planning a pep rally; Shannon and our Student Government Council found ways to get many students involved and the event was well-paced and organized. Thank you SGC!

Spirit Week & Pep Rally 2022
Below are some pictures from our annual Homecoming Pep Rally. We heard from our chorus and band, our cheerleaders performed, student-athletes were recognized, and the student body participated in several competitive games. Student involvement and energy was terrific all week, especially during our daily dress up days.
The Rockland High School 1982 Super bowl team was honored prior to the football game on Friday, October 7th. Take a look at some of the members of this team below, who were with Head Coach Ken Owen. The bulldogs enjoyed a big victory over Abington. See the article and photos below!
Take a moment to read this article in the Patriot Ledger on RHS Freshman Joao Goncalves who is a multi-sport athlete. You will never guess what the second sport is!
Coach Tim Brown recently resigned as the varsity wrestling coach. However, we are lucky that long-time assistant coach Peter Harrison take over as the varsity coach.

The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's Office for Food and Nutrition Programs is pleased to share information about the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). The ACP is a new benefit for eligible households to provide up to $30/month (or $75/month for households living on Tribal lands) toward their internet bills and a one-time discount on other technology resources.
