LAST CALL FOR LOST & FOUND ITEMS (REALLY THIS TIME!)

Lost and found items have been recently sorted in the hopes of reconnecting them with their owners. That means everything leftover isn't labeled. Items not collected by the end of this week will be donated, and please remember to label coats, hats, gloves, etc with your student's name.

4-H Urban/Rural Exchange Program for 7th Graders

Registration for the April 2-7 4-H Urban/Rural Exchange Program opens Dec. 18th. This program gives 7th graders an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the environmental, social and economic issues from both an urban and rural perspective. 4-H will be presenting information about the program at your school on December 10th during 7th grade classes. Parents may attend if they want to learn more about this program.


Fill out an online application, beginning Weds, Dec. 18th. If you need additional assistance with the application, please contact Courtney Lobo at 971-361-9629. Space is limited, so get your application in ASAP.

PTA MESSAGE

Congratulations to the cast, crew and volunteers who put on another great Theater Club play! The Magic Wardrobe was magical and mischievous!


And congrats to our Lego League team for a great showing at Sunday's qualifying tournament! They'll be compete in the State Championship!

CONGRATS LEGO LEAGUE TEAM!

The Arleta Lego League Team competed well in the Qualifying Tournament on Sunday. The scored highest in the robot game and best Innovation Research Project, won two out of six trophies and were invited to compete in the State Championship next month. Way to go Lego League!

BOTTLE DROP DONATIONS MATCHED THROUGH DEC. 16

From now until Dec. 16, Bottle Drop will match donations 20%. Let's fill as many blue bags as possible! Email arletabottledrop@gmail.com when you have a full bag to arrange a pick up within the Arleta boundary.

THEATER CLUB SPRING PLAY AUDITION FORM DUE DEC. 20

Arleta School Theater Club is pleased to announce Heidi Esbensen will be directing our spring production, One Bad Apple: The Queen, Snow White, and the Evil Red Delicious. Audition materials are now available in the school office! Please pick up an audition form and an information packet if you are interested. Forms are due back to the office by Friday, December 20, 2019.

The Arleta PTA participates in two no-cost shopping rewards programs - Fred Meyer Community Rewards and AmazonSmile.


By linking your Fred Meyer Rewards card to the Arleta PTA and scanning your rewards card when you shop, a percentage of your purchase goes to the PTA. Sign up here. (And you'll still get your cash back rewards!)


Amazon has a similar program, called AmazonSmile. Select "Arleta School PTA" as your charitable organization to receive donations when you shop Amazon. Once you sign up, just go to smile.amazon.com to do your usual Amazon shopping. While there is no app, you can create a shortcut on your phone by going to smile.amazon.com in your browser, tap the Share button, then tap Add to Homescreen.
