The National Suicide Prevention Line 988 is now active across the United States!

Starting July 16h The National Suicide Prevention Line is changing! The once 11-digit number is now shortened to three digits 9-8-8. When people call or text #988 they will be connected to trained counselors with the lifeline network. This new, shorter phone number will make it easier for people to remember and access mental health crisis services. The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is a national network of local crisis centers that provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the United States.

Did you watch the Kentucky Derby this Year?

Rich Strike, the 2022 Kentucky Derby winning horse!

1. Not the best starting position

2. Not the biggest or best horse

3. Only made it into the race because another horse scratched

4. A $30,000 horse and won against many multi million dollar horses

Remind your students this year that it’s not always about having the best of everything or being the biggest and favored. It’s about the size of heart and dedication to win and excel in everything you do!
