Stories of Service: Love Roseville Schools
Last Saturday, about 100 volunteers from 10 churches got up early and braved the wind and rain to serve at 7 local Roseville elementary and middle schools. Several indoor projects were completed, mostly painting and beautification projects. It was great to see individuals from different churches work side by side to make local schools a better environment for our children! Churches are making plans to finish outdoor projects at 13 schools once the weather permits. Thank you to all the churches and volunteers who were involved!
April 4th-5th: iCare Davis
On April 4th-5th, 9 churches will be loving and serving the Davis community with 24 different service projects for an annual event called iCare. ICare's mission is to serve Davis and the surrounding region as a tangible expression of Christ's love. The service events range from free car washes and bingo and ice cream with the homeless to cleaning and restoring children's crisis homes, migrant centers and local schools. You can see more information and sign up for any of these service opportunities by visiting iCare’s website here.
April 11th-16th: Serve Arden/Arcade Week
Serve Partnerships Unlimited and several area churches will be joining with the Spanish speaking Iglesia Cristiana Emmanuela for a five day local missions trip! The mission trip will include a Family Fun Day Carnival and BBQ, a Barnabas Team, a Gospel presentation and many community projects throughout the week. There are still openings to serve for the entire week, or you can choose to serve in specific projects. If you are interested in being a part of this incredible local service week, please contact Rob Dirkse at spu1@yamail.com or sign up to serve here.
