Further Information On The Wireless Headphone Ban and Cell Phone Usage At Ridgeview:
Expectations are that headphones (wired, wireless, etc.) are off and out of site. Specific to wireless headphones, they’re not to be used at all on campus.
So, what’s the difference with the types of headphones:
- Wireless headphones are banned, and if seen at any point, should be collected and turned into the front office.
- Wired headphones are approved, but they should be out of sight/away until a staff member gives a student permission to wear them. We know these are needed in the classroom for instruction and testing, so please be clear about giving students permission when you desire and then that they put them away before leaving your room.
And what about cell phones:
- Cell phones should be off and out of sight before students enter the building and not utilized until off campus.

Results of Student, Parent, and Staff CTAE Course Survey Extended in January
In January, Ridgeview asked students, parents, and staff for input in help selecting an additional CTAE (Career Technical Agricultural Education) course offering for next school year that would align with options that Riverwood has. In the six short days the survey was open we had almost 800 respondents including more than half of our students, almost 200 parents, and our staff.
The #1 choice from all respondents was Broadcast, Video, Production, and Graphics design, and this was also the highest combined first/second choice. The Film industry is a booming and growing industry in Georgia, and based upon the physical facility requirements of this program, we are confident that it will be a mainstay at Riverwood for some time. For all of these reasons, we are pleased to inform you that we are in the planning for implementation phase of offering Broadcast, Video, Production, and Graphics Design as a 9-week connections course for next school year.
