Edgewood Weekly Update- Sept. 15th

Connecting Families and School Through Communication!

Dear Edgewood Families...

Thanks so much to our students and families that attended our Curriculum Night last Tuesday. This night gave the teachers and me some time to provide important information to you. We value our partnership with you in the education of your child(ren)! I have added my PowerPoint to our school web page under the parent tab. I am also including another link for parents which gives you more information about the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and student learning.

Two-page color guides, by grade level, created by the National PTA organization.

PTO This Week!

PTO is so glad to arrange our "No Cook" nights again this school year.

This Wednesday, stop by Papa's Pizza between 11:00 A.M. to 10 P.M. for a tasty lunch or dinner, and the PTO will be awarded 20% of your bill. We are grateful to Papa's Pizza, as a local business, for supporting us with this fundraising event. (I have also attached the flyer to the Skylert e-mail.)

We will have our first PTO meeting of the school year, this Thursday, at 7:00, in the LRC. Child care is provided. Edgewood spirit wear order forms are coming home with students on this date, and the forms will also be passed out at the PTO meeting! Discussions will include Halloween Dance planning and we hope that all interested family members who would like to be room parents will also join us! A raffle drawing will also part of the fun as we conclude the meeting!
