A Message from the Principal's Desk:
Greetings, members of the Kingsway community! Kingsway Regional Middle School is off to an outstanding 2018-19 school year. The seventh grade tours that took place in August were very well attended and helped tremendously in transitioning our seventh graders to the middle school. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend Back to School Night on September 12th. If you were unable to attend, a link for the Back to School presentation can be found on the middle school website under the ‘For Parents’ tab.

#1Dragon Family: Kingsway Regional Middle School is proud to announce a new climate and culture initiative entitled, #1DragonFamily. Our #1DragonFamily committee has met on two occasions this summer to map out several activities, guest speakers, and school-wide assemblies that will be instrumental in emphasizing the importance of accepting differences while promoting respect among the entire school community throughout the 2018-19 school year. In addition to the monthly activities and themes, we will be introducing a new after school club entitled, Dragon SPARK which will serve as an opportunity to get our students further involved with this effort. We are extremely excited about launching this initiative, and we are certain that all students are sure to benefit from our commitment to this program. Our first full school assembly, entitled Point of View, is scheduled for October 2, 2018.
Renaissance Program: During our Renaissance Kickoff Assembly on September 6, we explained the benefits and criteria of the Renaissance Program. For more information on this great incentive program, please visit the following link: http://www.krsd.org/Renaissance Please help to encourage your child to be a part of this program.

The Week Of Respect: During the first week of October, Kingsway Regional School District will be observing the Week of Respect. This year, the #1DragonFamily committee is extending the reach of respect, acceptance, and unity throughout the year with different monthly themes, continuing to focus on respect in October. Students will participate in an assembly centered around challenging our points of view and valuing ourselves and others. Small group discussion will follow within classrooms.
On October 1st through 5th, students will be asked to wear a certain color on given days of the week as a symbol of respect. Please encourage your child to participate in wearing the following colors each day:
Monday—Blue to Represent FRIENDSHIP
Tuesday—Green to Represent COMPASSION
Wednesday—Gray to represent KINDNESS
Thursday---Neon Colors to represent FAIRNESS
Friday---Red and Black to represent UNITY
Red Ribbon Week: During the week of October 22, 2018, Kingsway Regional School District will be observing Red Ribbon Week. This week will focus primarily on drug and alcohol awareness. Red ribbons will fill the hallways throughout the week; and teachers will look to tie in the theme throughout the week in their given content area. More information will be forthcoming.
Transportation
Busing: When possible, we would like to encourage you to please have your child ride the bus to and from school. This will help with the overall congestion and traffic on our campus, Kings Highway, and 322.
Morning Student Drop Off: Please use the access road in front of the building to drop your child off. If you are stopped between the orange cones when pulling up, please drop your child off; this method eliminates a back-up of traffic.
Miscellaneous
Forms: Please make sure you have completed and turned in all of the forms that were required. These forms provide us the necessary information to make sure your child is safe.
Dance: Our first dance will be held on Friday, October 5th at 7:00 p.m. Tickets will be sold in advance for seven dollars during your child's lunch period. Dance tickets will be capped at 350 tickets. All proceeds will be utilized to offset the cost of the 7th grade field trip.
Picture Retake: Picture retake will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2018. Please have your child bring in their original photo packet to give to the photographer. Here is the link for Lors Photography:
