Dance Class News

The 8th Count Dance Center

Welcome Back!

We have an exciting dance year planned for you. This newsletter is filled with information covering the beginning of the dance year. If you have any questions or concerns, please speak to someone in the office at your earliest convenience.

Welcome back to Miss Stevie, who is back on staff for Thursday nights! Good luck to Mr. D as he heads off to the Joffrey jazz program in Texas! Returning are Miss Emily and Miss Katie with their current classes. Miss Bessie also joins us again for office help but only on Thursday evenings as well as other "special" event weeks.

We request that you keep all communications for the dance year as you receive them from our staff. You will be receiving information about your participation in our annual recital in June closer to the end of the season. New this year is our Christmas program on December 20 (correction to original date). We welcome your comments and suggestions regarding any of our policies or procedures at any time.

Please note that our waiting room is made available for the convenience of our students and their families. We have specific parent observation weeks built into the yearly schedule for your convenience and we ask that parents/grandparents abide by those viewing weeks. When coming downstairs we ask that you take your shoes off. We understand that our waiting room is small and the more the cubbies are used for shoes, the better.

We request that you arrive at the studio with adequate time to prepare for class, parking, changing, restroom, etc. Parents, for your children’s safety, please be available in the waiting room to receive students when dismissed from class. Please call whenever delayed for class start time or pickup.

We ask that all students come to class in the proper dance attire. We understand schedules running to and from other activities and coming right from school but we ask that like any other sport, you pack a bag with proper clothing (NO JEANS), including dance shoes, hair tie, water, and snack.

If you have any questions about our policies about tuition payment, dress code, and other important studio information, please read below. If you add/drop/transfer classes this year, you must fill out the form posted below. This will help with billing as well as costume ordering. We must order costumes very early to get them in time for our recital. Costume deposits will not be refunded after the deposit deadline if a class is dropped. If it is transferred, you can just transfer the deposit toward another costume assuming the costumes have not been ordered already.

We welcome your comments and suggestions. If any parent/student wishes a private conference concerning your individual dance goals or financial concerns, please do not hesitate to ask. We are happy to work with you to ensure that your school year will be one of pleasure and growth. The entire faculty and staff wish you a fantastic year of dance!

Have a great week, the T8C Team
