March Madness

It is hard to believe we are getting to the end of the 3rd quarter here in just another week and a half. The school year always seems to fly by, and this year is certainly no exception. Please consider supporting the food drive happening all month. We will end the month with our book fair in Bo Peep. As always thank you for your continued support of your children and our school.

On Tuesday, March 3 our 7 - 12 graders attended Mathletes located in Sidney. Congratulations to the following students for their achievements.

In the group competitions, our students took home 2 superior ratings and 1 honorable mention.

It's a Jungle Out There! Elephants, Tigers, and Books Oh My! Book Fair

Our book fair in Bo Peep will occur the week of March 30. There will be a meal to benefit the after school program on Tuesday, March 31 from 5 - 7. The book fair will be open on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 4 - 6. It's going to be a wild time! Hope to see you there!

Leap Into Learning Carnival

We raised just over $1200 for our after school program. Thank you to everyone that came out and enjoyed the evening with us.

Food Drive

Students in kindergarten through sixth grade will be participating in a food drive in partnership with CHS Elevator. The food drive will run from March 2 through the 19 The winning classroom to bring in the most food by weight will win their choice of a pizza party or root beer float party. Please double check that no items are expired before donating. Thank you for your participation!

District Strategic Planning Meeting

Our second district strategic planning meeting will be held in the high school library on March 12. Dinner will be at 5:00 with the meeting starting at 5:30. We are looking at long term goals and visions for the future of the school district, and the steps we need to take to get there. We need all members of the community to join us for these meetings. Please consider coming to this next meeting and be a part of an important conversation.

Preschool Screenings

In cooperation with Prairie View Special Services, there will be preschool screenings for children ages 0 - 5. See the flyer below and call Sandy in the Redwater office to sign your child up. This does not take the place of kindergarten round-up that will take place in May for students who will by 5 by September 10.

It is that time of year where people are getting sick. Influenza has officially reached McCone County as well. Please use the chart below as a reference if your child is ill. Please call the school and let us know if your child is going to be absent due to illness. If you are unsure, please call your child's doctor.
