Elementary Progress Reports
As the 2nd marking period has come to a close, Elementary Progress Reports will be available online though the Parent Portal on Wednesday, February 10th at 9:00 AM. A blast email will notify parents when the document is ready to view. This is a great opportunity to gain feedback on your child's strength and goal areas. We encourage parents to open and view the progress report on the Parent Portal. If you have not set up a Parent Portal account, please click HERE to set up an account.

News from the Gym!
In the month of February, MC students will continue participating in our district's fitness assessment program, CB Fit. CB Fit promotes a comprehensive approach to physically educating the “whole child.”
The heart of our program is focused on ways to stimulate personal growth and provide opportunities for individual success. These mandatory tests will be administered to students in grades 3-6 and introduced to students in grades 1 & 2.
Listed below are the tests and areas of assessment:
Pacer = Endurance
Shuttle Run = Agility
Flexed Arm Hang = Upper Body Strength
Pull-ups = Upper Body Strength (optional)
Sit & Reach = Flexibility
Sit-ups = Abdominal Strength
During the next couple of weeks, students will be practicing and participating in the Pacer test. The Pacer test measures heart, lung, and overall cardiovascular endurance by running back and forth across a 15 meter distance (49.2ft) at a specified pace which gets progressively faster each minute.
If not already documented with the school nurse, please email me with any medical conditions/needs.

Open Your Heart Project
In celebration of Valentine’s Day, Mill Creek is launching a school-wide project. The purpose of this project is to provide necessary personal items to individuals in our community who are currently receiving support.
We are asking each grade level to donate items which will be delivered to those in need. Please send your child to school with his or her item no later than Friday, February 12th.
The following is a list of items being collected this year across all grade levels:
· Soap/body wash/antibacterial hand soap
· Lotion/wet ones for face and hands/tissues/pens
