Changing Your Learning Option FOR 2ND SEMESTER!

Learning Option Changes for 1st semester have concluded. We will not be processing any more changes for the 1st semester of school.

Our school is already preparing for the second semester that begins on January 6, 2021. In order to properly allocate teachers and resources, the District is requiring families to notify the school by November 13 if they want to change their student's educational model for the second semester.

Please make your choice now, as the window for a request to CHANGE YOUR OPTION will ONLY BE OPEN through November 13th.

The Request to Change Learning Option can be submitted by CLICKING HERE!

Academic Banners!

Check out our recently updated Academic Banners! We love celebrating our students! We congratulate and honor our yearly Valedictorian & Salutatorian and our National AP Scholars! National AP Scholars are students who have scored a "5" on two or more AP exams!

Gentle Reminder About Expectations!

As we move into 2nd Quarter, please take a moment to review the following policies and procedures with your student. As a community we are doing well working together, but could see some improvement in the following areas:

MOVEMENT: Students are not permitted to stop in the hallways or courtyard at any time during the school day. All students should continue moving to and from class, and should always walk on the right side of the hallways, stairwells or the courtyard areas.

MORNING DROP-OFF/ARRIVAL: Students have two choices upon entering our campus:

  1. Go directly to 1st period.
  2. Go get a free breakfast in the cafeteria, and take the breakfast directly to 1st period.

*As a reminder, please DO NOT drop your child off prior to 7am

LUNCH: The only areas students are permitted to sit in during lunch are as follows:

  1. Cafeteria & outdoor cafeteria space
  2. The center courtyard area
  3. The Gym bleachers.

*Students who are found outside of these areas will receive referrals.

DRESS CODE: We are seeing students bringing and/or wearing hats, beanies, and do-rags to school. Please note that head-coverings are not permitted on the CCHS campus.

We are asking all staff and students to join us in bringing attention to Unity & Inclusion this week! On Tuesday in all Coyote Core intervention periods, students will be participating in a Unity Day activity.

On Wednesday we are asking ALL STUDENTS & STAFF to wear ORANGE for Unity Day!

All students & staff that participate will receive a sweet treat!

Dual Enrollment for Spring Semester!!!

Dual Enrollment registration for the Spring semester is now open. The Dynamic Forms are due on October 28 so please see your school counselor as soon as possible for more information.

  • Please note that students who are taking an online course for the first time must complete the online readiness course through Canvas. Completion of the PHSC online readiness course is required prior to registering in any online dual enrollment courses. We highly encourage all students to access and complete the online readiness course now.
  • Completion of the Student Orientation online is also REQUIRED for all DE students. Students who have not completed this course will not be able to register for Spring courses. Visit to access directions on how to complete the orientation.

Students may request advisement appointments with PHSC through November 13th. Beginning November 16th, advisement will only be accessible through the virtual drop-in platform which will be available through the first week of classes (January 15, 2021).

Senior Graduation Fees Now Due

The graduation fees button for 12th graders is now available through your Student Fees Portal. Mandatory graduation fees are $75 and include your cap, gown, tassel, and medallion. The deadline to pay graduation fees is Friday, December 18th. If paid after this date, a $30 charge will be added to your payment.

PSAT testing will be administered to all Sophomores FREE of charge. Testing will be administered as follows:

10/29 Thu - Traditional students ONLY (***This date was incorrectly stated last week.***)

Students will receive testing location information approximately a week prior.

  • Students must provide their own calculator (scientific calculators are allowed).

This is an extremely important exam for our students as it provides access to the National Merit Scholarship program and many other scholarship opportunities. In addition, the PSAT serves as a concordant score to the Algebra 1 EOC for any student that did not take the FSA Algebra 1 EOC in the spring. Please encourage all of our Coyote testers to prepare and do their very best!

Students have received the PSAT Student Testing Guide. Reference this booklet for testing information.
