An Update from the Superintendent's Office - September 2021

Covid Update

Last week you received a letter via our call/text system explaining the protocols for students that test positive for Covid as well as those that are exposed to a Covid-positive individual. I have included a summarized version of the protocols below. In the event that your child is positive, you will likely receive a call from me to begin the contact tracing process. Those close contacts will receive a letter notifying them that they were in contact with a Covid-positive individual. If you have any questions about the protocols or procedures, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Throughout the year, I will do my best to update you on the status of our illness and Covid-positive percentages. My goal is to post this on a weekly basis on our website ( on the "Covid-19/ARP-ESSER III" tab. While I hope to update this weekly, there may be times that I am not able to share that information in such a timely fashion. I will do my best as I believe in transparency while still maintaining privacy.

Week 1: 3% ill, 0% Covid-Related Illness

Week 2: 3.7% ill, 0% Covid-Related Illness

Week 3: 1.6% ill, 0.4% Covid-Related Illness (Green on Return to Learn Plan)

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out via email, phone call, or in person meeting. Our goal is to keep students and staff safe and in school all year long.
