A Message from Mrs. Fantaskey

TEAM Doyle Spirit Day - Friday 1/14/22

We will reschedule our TEAM Doyle Spirit Day to this Friday, 1/14/22. Don't forget to wear your TEAM Doyle T-shirts!

Winter Weather Reminders

As the winter weather has arrived, please be sure that the children have coats, hats, etc. for outdoor recess. We try to make sure the children get outside for fresh air and enjoy some physical activity throughout the winter months, based on the temperature and wind chill factors. In addition, please be sure to label your child's clothing and items brought to school. This will help us to eliminate an overcrowded lost and found area!

Health Office Updates

As a reminder, if you are communicating a Covid-19 related absence or have questions, please contact the health office at Doyle via phone or email.

If you are emailing about a positive case, please include the following: Jen Hendri (jhendri@cbsd.org), Kate Fantaskey (kfantaskey@cbsd.org), your child's teacher, and attendance office (lconroy@cbsd.org).

Sparks NewsLetter

“Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”

Mark Twain

This quote may optimize the wish that many parents have for their children’s future. Some of you may be fortunate enough to feel that way about your own career. Finding that ideal job is the challenge and for our children it is often a matter of “trying things on” to see what fits. The link below shares interesting looks at how people feel about the work they do. Although many of the videos may be more appropriate for older students, some could be fun for the younger ones such as Kite Designer or Experimental Film and Stop Motion Animator.

Perhaps take a few minutes over the upcoming school break and watch some of these with your sons and daughters. Ask them what they think, and listen. You both may learn something about “a job you enjoy doing.”
