Survey

Please take time to complete the brief survey. If you complete the survey let the Glenn Elementary office know and we will enter your child(ren) in a drawing to win a prize. There will be two laptops in the foyer of the school to complete the survey. Teachers and students will be completing the survey the first week back.

Nurse Notes

With cold and flu season in full swing, please make sure to keep all children home for 24 hours once the fever, vomiting or diarrhea has subsided. Remind children to wash their hands frequently. Coughing into an arm is much safer.

Attendance

If your child is going to be out all day due to (illness or an event) or even come in late, please contact the office to let them know by 8:30 am. The number is 309-557-4467. Thanks

PBIS Postings

As students return to school area expectations are reviewed. We are looking to increase our Positive Office Referrals. POR is a recognition of a student making a great choice and showing kindness, compassion or other amazing traits. Ask your child if they have received a Positive Office Referral!

Promise Council Projects

Promise Council is supporting Glenn is so many ways. The Promise Council is creating a Women of Wisdom girl mentoring program for 3-5th grade girls. The girls will meet once a week. The goal of the group is to develop and train girls to be positive role models of kindness and caring for themselves and others. Another project is to support our Fifth grade students and teachers with a program called Opening Doors. This program shows youth the possibilities of careers in an array of fields. Speakers will come in and talk to our Fifth grade once a month. Promise Council is always looking for caring adults. The next meeting is at 5:00 on Tuesday, January 15th.

PTO Happenings

The next PTO meeting is Tuesday, January 15th at 6:00pm. All are invited to attend and see what great things the PTO is doing for Glenn Elementary. Join us at the Winter Dance this Friday, January 11th at 6:00-7:30. Valentine's Day parties are coming up. Did you sign up for something? Why not support your child's classroom (game, snack, or crafts)?
