Team of the Week - Sixth Grade

Our sixth grade team works hard to be sure their students are prepared to leave elementary school ready for secondary.

Fun Facts:

This team's motto should be, "One for All and All for One!" They collaborate often and adjust plans when needed.

Focus on: PLCs

Has your team met to discuss benchmark data? It is important to "share notes" and discuss differences in student responses.

How did you teach that concept?

What should we do differently to teach that objective?

What is the data telling us about our tier 2 and tier 3 students?

This is an example of a DATA-focused PLC!!

Energy Shutdown

HOORAY! Hartman was 100% compliant for the Thanksgiving Energy Shutdown! The next shutdown, for winter break, will require unplugging equipment. Watch for more information closer to the break. If we are 100% compliant on that shutdown, we will have an extra jeans day as a celebration!

Toys for Patients

Thank you to all who contributed a toy for the patients at Children's Medical Center. If you would like to participate, please bring your toy to the office tomorrow morning. So far, we have had 25 toys donated!

Great Things Happening in our Classrooms

Jennifer Smiley did an outstanding job of introducing a math concept by letting students work in groups to draw a picture depicting the math needed to solve the real-world problem.

Elizabeth Trowbridge spent all day yesterday learning a new teaching strategy in an optional staff development. She did this because she wants to offer this for her students. Way to go!

HaPpY BiRtHdAy!!

Celebrating birthdays this week:

12/12 - Kacee Sipriano

Additions or corrections? Please let Becky know!

Thought for the Week

The capacity to inspire is one of the teacher’s greatest offerings.
