September 2, 2022
Dear PMS Parents/Guardians.
We hope you had an enjoyable summer. We are looking forward to another year full of learning. We wanted to inform you of some important information to ensure you receive the same information as our students.
Below, we have highlighted some information to keep on hand. Each handout has been linked to an electronic copy below:
General Information for Parents - Everything you need to know: arrival to school, attendance, dismissal, lunch accounts, Aspen Family Portal, photos, as well as photo opt-out.
PMS Photo/Media Opt-Out: Student photos are taken for the yearbook. Other events, such as assemblies, career days, arts for life day… may be published on the website or newspapers. Parents must return the opt-out form if you wish to have your student(s) omitted from publications, including the yearbook.

Each student was sent home with an Emergency Contact Sheet. Please review the information on this sheet and make changes if necessary. Sign and date the form and have your student return it to school.
NOTE: If your address is incorrect, it must be changed at the Central Administration Building at 29 Middle Road. Please bring two proofs of residency to correct your address.

Portsmouth AgInnovation Farm Club
Recently awarded the 2022 Presidential Environmental Youth Award, the Portsmouth AgInnovation farm started in 2020 and continues to thrive. It is a student-led farm where ideas are formed to better the quality of our community. This fall, students will finish up the harvest and start to shut down the farm for the winter.
Located .5 miles from the middle school, the program will run on Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30-3:45 pm. Students are transported from school to the farm and guardians can either pick students up from the farm or they can sign up for the late bus.
If you have any questions, please email Margie Brennan, Science Instructional Coach, K-8 at brennanm2@portsmouthschoolsri.org
