Mrs. Drudy's Remote Learning
April 15, 2020
A Note to Parents
These are overwhelming times, and Indiana's Rensselaer Central Schools Corporation has put into words exactly what I want to say to you... Every. Single. Word. This is just too powerful not to share. The bottom line: Please do not let remote learning overwhelm you or your child.
Day #2 Agenda
The documents you will need for today's agenda can be found below. Remember, some of these are OPTIONAL activities. I do, though, hope you are tuning into the chapter read aloud, Frindle, as it's just too good to miss.
ReadWorks: Sister Problems
Remember, you can visit the ReadWorks site each day to find the passages. Just click here. The questions can actually be answered right in there. You will just need to log in as a STUDENT by clicking "Student Login." From there, you will need to enter our class code, which is JC7UWS. You will then select your name from the list, and enter the password 1234. When you do this, the listing of stories pop right up. Simply choose Sister Problems.
Math: Measurement
Today you will revisit the essential question: "How can you measure by using centimeter and meter units?" Earlier you measured various items around your house using objects, or non-standard units and to the nearest inch. Click below to review this optional lesson. Also below you will find the download for the OPTIONAL daily math review.
OPTIONAL Read Aloud: Frindle
Please join me in listening to, or even better, reading along with me, chapters 3 & 4 in Frindle.
Remember, Frindle is one of the books that is in your Open Books library account that I created for you, so you can read along on your device if you'd like. After each reading there are optional activities to complete. You may download any or all of these recording sheets below.
