This poem explains how your life can be difficult at times so always have hope and never shut yourself down. The author describes personal connection and reflecting about life such as overcoming your struggles and being patient to reach your success. Finally the poem gives advices about taking challenges because it might turn out to be great and always appreciate your life because you won't get another one.
" if you can dream-and not make dreams your master" " If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two imposters just the same"
This quotation makes me understand that you can dream big but make goals to reach that big dream. Kipling explain that reaching your big dream needs time and work to be successful. The other quotation is important because it clarifies that you shouldn't be too high or too low stay in the middle. For example if you are rich it might change you into a greedy person and if you are poor it might give you thoughts to steal for money. Always be in the middle because you are equal to everyone.
"If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you" "If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies"
In this quote Kipling is saying have confidence in yourself no matter what people say. There will be times were people might lie about you but don't let that lie get away show them the true in you. The second quote simplify that being patient can make your life fill with happiness. I know when I am patient with my parents they give me something that I love. It also explain being honest because honesty is happiness.
