Three Blind Mice
Rawan Ajeen
One evening a pair of newlyweds purchased three mice. The husband had good intentions when purchasing the mice but the wife on the hand had a cruel mind and planned to harm one of the mice. That night as her husband went to bed she pulled out one of the mice and hung it by its tail above a nearby lamp.
The poor mouse let out a shout but loud squeal, a plea for help. The wife though she had the situation under control but her half asleep husband heard the noise and come out of the bedroom to see what had happened. He saw the poor mouse dangling below the lamp and could smell the mouse's fur crisping in the air. Instead of dealing with his obscured wife he dialed 911 and watched as the police arrested her for animal torture.
The wife was sent to jail with no bail and had to appeal in front of a grand jury with a public defender by her side. The grand jury did not impose an indictment. A week later the wife was subpoenaed to appear in front of a petit jury. The defendant cooperated in in the court room and was not accused of perjury. The wife answered the questions the judge had during the arraignment and the judge also listened to her husbands side of the story as he served as a witness.
After two hours in the court room the judge had finally reached a verdict. The defendant was found guilty of a felony of animal abuse. The defendant's lawyer made her do a plea bargain so she can end up with 5 years less of the 20 years of jail time she would face. The prosecutor had won their case!
