Sokolof Outstanding Jewish Teacher Award Winner!
A huge congratulations to Ms. Haber, a 5th grade English Language Arts teacher and Student Council advisor at Buffett, for winning the Sokolof Outstanding Jewish Teacher Award for 2022!

End-of-Year Reminders
Yearbook Distribution
Students who purchased a yearbook will receive them on Wednesday, May 25th. Students will have an opportunity to sign yearbooks during Bobcat Den. Yearbooks need to go home and not return to school after May 25.
Still want to purchase a yearbook? There is a limited quantity of yearbooks remaining. Students can purchase a yearbook for $40 in the front office now through the end of the school year.
Additional Information about the Last Week of School
- Last student day is May 27
- NO BACKPACKS: Thursday and Friday, May 26th and 27th
- Cell phones will remain OFF and in a student’s pocket or purse
- Only items allowed at school are an iPad and a pencil/pen for finals
- Only small purses needed for personal items and lunch bags will be allowed to stay with students and will be checked for content
- Leave electronics (air pods, earbuds, etc.) at home. AirPods/earbuds will be collected at the doors if brought to school.
- Student will sign in and sign out every time he/she leaves a classroom
- Teachers will collect textbook fine money before students leave on May 27th
Final Exam Schedule:
Grades 5-6-7 Thursday and Friday, May 26 and May 27
Grade 8 Wednesday and Thursday, May 25 and May 26
Report cards will be sent home by U.S. mail within ten days after the end of the school year.
No Late Buses There will be no after school activities or late buses the week of May 23. Student Council and PTO End-of-Year Fun!
5th Grade Kickball Tournament 5th graders have enjoyed getting ready for their kickball tournaments that will take place next week! BCD classes will compete against each other to see who reins supreme! We can wait to see the results! | 6th Grade Field Day 6th graders quickly shifted indoors for their rainy Friday field day a couple of weeks ago. Students enjoyed moving from station to station around the building. Some of the stations included: game boards, Cornhole, and more! | 7th & 8th Grade Dances 7th and 8th graders will celebrate the end of the school year with separate dances! 7th grade dance is this Friday in the gym. Mr. Myre will be spinning some tunes as the dance DJ! 8th grade dance is the following Friday. |

- Both dances will take place during block 7/8
- 7th and 8th graders will flip their block 3/4 and 7/8 classes to make this happen on May 13
- No changes to the schedule will take place on May 20
- All belongings will remain in the students' block 5/6 classrooms
- Students will dismiss from the dances at 2:50 to retrieve their belongings
- Concessions will be available for purchase-bring cash
- Board games will also be in the cafeteria for students not wanting to dance
- All students are expected to follow the Buffett High Five: Be Kind, Be Trustworthy, Be Safe, Be Hardworking, and Be Your Best

Fermi Mathletes
Congratulations to the following students for their hard work this year in Fermi Math League. Two teams took home medals and trophies. The Ice Breathing Dinosaurs took home 2nd place and the Fermi Falcons took home 3rd place overall for the middle level. Congratulations to all teams!

Bobcat Wins NJHS Outstanding Achievement Award
We’re proud to announce that, Katie B., has been selected as an NJHS Outstanding Achievement Award recipient for Nebraska. Katie will receive $500 in a 529 college savings account to be applied toward her higher education. Recipients are chosen based on their demonstrated work to support the five pillars of NJHS: scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. She has clocked in over 80 hours of service to our school and the surrounding community this year.
She has set the precedent for our future Bobcat leaders. She is the epitome of what it means to Be Your Best! Join us in congratulating Katie on her accomplishments!
