Deliveries?
Parents are requested not to bring items to be delivered to students during the instructional day. In the event that an item is given to the front office, it will be delivered to the student in the manner that least impacts instruction. Parents may not personally make deliveries to classrooms. No flowers or gift items will be delievered until the end of the instructional day.
Students may not have food delivered to school from commercial establishments(Uber Eats, Domino's, etc). Parents may provide meals for their own child's consumption during designated meal times only. In the event a parent delivers a meal for a student to the front office, the student will be allowed to pick it up during his/her lunch time. A parent/guardian may only bring food/drink for their child - a parent/guardian may not bring food/drink for their child's friends.
Thank you for helping!
iPads
Please talk to your students about properly caring for their iPad...here are a few simple solutions:
1) Don't throw your backpack with the iPad in it.
2) Be careful where you are charging it - make sure no can trip on the cord, or if they do, it doesn't fall.
3) Don't put it on the edge of your desk.
We realize that accidents will happen, but we are asking for help in order to prevent as much as possible.
Basketball Swats Llano
Girls Basketball
The 7th Grade A Team found themselves in a very tough district game but at the end showing their resilience with a 28 - 19 win.
The 8th Grade A team in typical fashion found themselves in a back and forth slugfest, having a chance to win at the end but falling short 38-34.
8B vs. Llano
We had some major hurdles to overcome with the lineup for this team. It is a team of 5 to begin with but with then missing a few, we had to pull up 3 7B players to make 5 so we could still compete. Contributing to the team were Jasmine Sisca, Anna Piedra, Laney Bentley, Melissa Soto, and Amalie Melendez. Congrats to these girls for working hard, stepping up, and doing the best that they can! It did not end in a victory on the scoreboard but to see little successes and improvements throughout the game was a victory in itself!
7B vs. Llano
Our 7th grade B team has moved to 4-1 for the season with a victory of 14-4 against Llano this week! These girls rocked it on the court! We were short on the roster with missing a few and then having to move 3 girls up but the 6 that competed put their heart and soul into it and did not slow down the entire game! They are applying more and more from what they learn in practice into the game and getting really excited about it! Those contributing to the team Thursday evening were Anya Alanis, Anna Heston, Kailee Keister, Audrey Ferguson, Alysia Benitez, and Ayeleen Hernandez. Congrats girls!!
7th Grade Boys
LVMS Boys 7th grade A team won a hard fought game against the Llano Yellowjackets 48-27! Our Defensive efforts were a major factor in the win! Blake Meredith and Jackson Cook led our defense in blocks and rebounds, and clutch offensive baskets from the entire team propelled us to victory!
8th Grade Boys
Thursday night, the 8th-grade basketball team won 30 to 11 in a great defensive match-up. Leading the offense was Tripp Henderson, Adian Knight and Mathew Purkey. Leading the defense was Tripp and Josh Bailey. The team did an amazing job all around and had a great victory.
B Team Highlights for the boys coming soon!
Tournament Champs!
Both 7A and 7B won both their games with the A Team beating Marble Falls and Hutto Farley and the B Team beating Marble Falls and Burnet. These wins resulted in both teams being tournament champs.
Both 8th Grade teams stepped up to the competition and kept their scrappy streak going, losing close game nail biters to Hutto Farley and Marble Falls.
We are extremely proud of all our girls and feel very confident on how we will be finishing the season.
Construction Update!
The demolition of the old weight room is complete - here's a drone photo showing the finished work. Now the next phase is beginning - there will be internal piping work in the gym before the forms are going to be started on the addition.

Student Registration Forms
IMPORTANT! PLEASE COMPLETE ANNUAL STUDENT REGISTRATION FORMS IN ASCENDER PARENT PORTAL!
If you have not done so, it is important that you complete the annual registration process ASAP. This must be completed each year because these forms provide us with important permissions and information that must be provided annually. Students without completed registration forms will begin to lose certain privileges until they are completed, so please take a moment to submit those forms in Ascender.
HOW DO I ACCESS PARENT PORTAL?
https://ascportal.esc13.net/ParentPortal/login?distid=227912
¿NECESITA ESPAÑOL?
Todos los formularios de registro también están en español. Para continuar en español, hay un menú desplegable en la esquina superior derecha de la página de inicio de sesión para cambiar al español.
WHAT IF I HAVE A NEWLY ENROLLED STUDENT? WHAT IF DON'T SEE MY ENROLLED STUDENT IN ASCENDER PARENT PORTAL?
If you enrolled your student during summer enrollment, you must still complete annual registration forms. If you don't see your enrolled student when you log in, an Ascender Parent Portal ID is needed in order to link to your student and complete the annual registration forms.
Please email your campus registrar to receive your student's Ascender Parent Portal ID. Please note that there may be slight delays in answering requests during peak times, such as this, but we will get it to you as quickly as possible!
Once you receive your student's Ascender Parent Portal ID from the campus registrar, please log into Ascender Parent Portal, select "Link to Enrolled Student", and enter the Parent Portal ID and the student's date of birth.
WHAT IF I SEE MY STUDENT, BUT DON'T HAVE A "REGISTRATION" OPTION?
In order to complete forms or update data for a student, the email address you have listed in Ascender Parent Portal must match what we have in our system. If you can see your student, but can't update any information, those email addresses do not match. We recommend updating and verifying your email address in Ascender Parent Portal. If you need us to change your email address in our system, please email registration@lagovista.txed.net and your campus registrar. You will be asked to provide your student's full name, date of birth, and grade level for verification purposes.
NEED OTHER HELP?
See the Quick Guide to Setting Up Ascender Parent Portal below for more information or email registration@lagovista.txed.net.
Cell Phones
Please remember that cell phones are not allowed during school hours. Phones must be turned off and in their backpacks. If your child needs to contact you, they may come to the front office to use the office phone or bring their personal phone to the front office, where they are allowed to use it.
If you need to communicate with your child during the day, you can email your child on their ipads, using their school email - firstname_lastname@lvisd.com
Remember that if you call the front office, we will be happy to deliver any messages to your child. Less disruption in the classrooms, the better!

School Time - Please remember that we teach from "bell to bell" each day and when you pull your student(s) out early or they arrive late to school, they miss valuable class time. Thank you for understanding!
Here is the bell schedule...first bell starts at 8:00 AM!
Covid Questions...
A: If your student is determined to be a close contact of a student who has tested positive for COVID, you will be personally notified. If your child is in the same grade level as a student who has tested positive, you will receive an email.
Q: Are masks required?
A: LVISD does not require students, parents, teachers, staff members or visitors to wear masks or face coverings while on district premises. However, the wearing of face masks is allowed and is highly encouraged.
Q: Can I choose for my child to do at-home/remote learning this year?
A: The state has not provided for a funded remote instruction option this school year. Students not at school will be under normal attendance requirements. Exceptions to this are students who are isolated because of a positive COVID result or who are quarantined due to being a COVID close contact.
