It's Been a Great Week at Hoover!
RACE FOR EDUCATION
We're still a long way from our goal and you can help!
The Hoover PTO is hosting the Race for Education fundraiser through May 21. On May 21 all students will be walking in shifts all day at Hoover Field to raise money through sponsorship for the PTO. If we reach our goal of $5,000 there will not be another fundraiser in the fall. All proceeds support student events, awards, and special activities. Some examples include: bounce houses for field day, Pioneer Day and Camping Trip supplies, guest speakers, student awards (trophies, ribbons, etc...), and the 4th grade rat & Iditarod projects, etc...
Prizes for Race for Education:
- Students who receive one donation from a sponsor will get a Hoover Pencil.
- Students who receive two donations from sponsors will get an Applebee’s Coupon.
- The class from each grade which receives the highest number of donations per student will be treated to an Extra Recess & Popsicle Party.
- For every five sponsor donations a student receives, the student’s name will be entered into a drawing for a GRAND PRIZE of a $25.00 Dari-Licious Gift Card. One Grand Prize will be awarded on each grade level.
- Fruit and bottled water will be given to all students on Race Day.
- If we reach our goal of $5,000, the students will get to create a “Human Ice Cream Sundae” out of Mrs. Galinowski and Mrs. Jones on the last day of school!
To date we have raised $1,617.00
THE BUSY SEASON IS HERE
As we wind down the school year, please be sure to read any newsletters, emails, Class DoJo messages, or check our Facebook page for information regarding all of the end of the year events. The 4th grade will be going to the Symphony this Tuesday, and 5th grade will participate in the 5th Grade Track Meet at CHS on Thursday. The spring is always such a busy time and there is a lot of important information coming home of which you need to be aware. Check those backpacks every night!
5th Grade Track Meet
The 5th grade track meet will be held on Tuesday, May 14th at Crawfordsville High School. All students and volunteers will need to purchase a school lunch that day per corporation policy. Any parents who wish to watch the track meet as spectators will be permitted to sit in the guest area of the bleachers, but will not be permitted in student areas. Please contact Mrs. Reese if you are able to assist at: kreese@cville.k12.in.us or 765-362-2691
