Supporting Your Child's Writing
Click on the link below to download the Informative/Explanatory Essay Structure used by all of our English classes. It provides a structure for student writing that includes the introductory paragraph, body paragraphs, and the concluding paragraph.
Have your child explain this structure to you and show you a sample of their writing where they use this.
National Junior Honor Society
Honor Society students' NJHS water bottles are here. Come November 30th. Walk
up to the table in front of the MPR and a campus supervisor will deliver your water bottle
to you from 1-2pm. Honor Society students will be receiving a water bottle, a certificate, a bumper sticker and a patch. All these things you will be receiving are to those that fulfilled their community service hours and turned in their applications in this past October 9th.
If you are not able to pick it up at that time, come by any other day between 8-2pm to the MPR. This is an incentive reward for all the hard work they have done this semester.
Hart District Student Podcast
Students from across the Hart District have recently been working together to create
the “Hartbeat of the District” Podcast, available on all podcast platforms. Their mission is
to connect our schools and give a platform to the student perspectives that would not
otherwise be heard.
If your child would like to be a part of production, either behind the scenes or in
front of the mic, contact Aaron Quevedo via student email or DM them on Instagram,
We invite all students and staff to tune in every Friday as we
release a new episode focusing on the staff, students, and administrators that make up
the heartbeat of our school district.
