The founder of Islam is Muhammad. According to Islamic religion, an angel comes and tells Muhammad to spread the word of God. Muhammad begins to spread the word, starting the religion of Islam.

Islam is based on the teachings of Muhammad. The main belief in the Qur'an is that there is only one God, Allah , and that Muhammad is his prophet. The people also have to obey Allah's commands. Muhammad taught the Muslims to follow these commands. Islam teaches that the world has a definite beginning and will end some day.


When Muhammad died, Islam spread across South West Asia and North Africa. Muhammad had brought a new religion to Arabia. Even after Muhammad had died people continued to bring the religion to new places and taught people about this new religion.
